Select Demo was contracted by a heavy-civil general contracting firm to perform the abrasive blast removal of PCB paint from various surfaces of this active MWRA wastewater treatment plant. All work was performed in air and leak tight negative pressure containments. Select Demo's scope also included selective, interior demolition, asbestos abatement and concrete surface preparation. Confined space training was heavily important on this project, as all field staff were required to work in below-sea-level sewer holes to perform abatement.
