Select Demo was contracted directly by Bond Brothers Civil & SPS, JV to perform the demolition of Ramp B-DX, which included the deconstruction and removal of the four-span box beam bridge, the Terminal B departures roadway and the entire superstructure at Logan International Airport. Select’s scope also included the removal and disposal of concrete walls, saw-cutting and the demolition of the sidewalk areas. The project was concluded with an accelerated weekend schedule where Select Demo crew’s worked to demolish an entire bridge bent section over a newly built concrete tunnel that was protected prior to demolition and could not be damaged. This high profile complex project was performed two days ahead of a very stringent schedule, on budget and had no injuries or incidents.
