Select Demo was contracted to perform the demolition and asbestos abatement of Harvard University’s Lowell House located in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA. Select Demo performed the interior, selective demolition and asbestos abatement of this 200,000 SF dormitory built in 1930. Select’s scope also included structural, interior demolition, PCB remediation and the transportation and disposal of construction waste. This project was a part of Harvard University’s House Renewal Program, which is comprised of the renovation of their undergraduate residences and has been estimated to cost $1.4 billion to date.
