Select Demo Services, LLC was contracted by H.J. Russell & Co. per perform the demolition and asbestos abatement of this 13,000 SF, 1-story building, which was a former Boston Fire Department Training Facility, and is now owned by Harvard University. Select performed conventional abatement of the 11,850 SF of built-up tar and gravel roofing material on wood decking. Select's scope also included the installation of temporary fencing for the site, as well as erosion control. After the building is demolished, the site will be converted into a paved parking lot, which will eventually be turned into a street to connect Holton Street & Lincoln Street.
