Select Demo was contracted direct by the ownership of the Northshore Mall to perform the complete demolition and asbestos abatement of this 220,000 SF, 3-story structural block veneer building with a steel skeleton. Select Demo was issued a partial Massachusetts DEP-issued nontraditional work plan for foundation removal. The scope also included a building separation and site work preparation, including MEP make-safe’s and utility cuts/caps. This was the first Sears demolition project in the United States as a part of the chain’s bankruptcy filing.
