Select Demo was contracted to perform interior Fenway Park work comprising of the removal and salvage of the New Balance scoreboard and the demolition and removal of bleachers and beams. Select’s scope also included a building separation and the complete takedown of a 40,000 SF portion of the existing building to allow for the construction of a new 5,400 seat music hall located right on Lansdowne Street. Select’s scope also included selective, interior demolition of a section of the building that remains, including the removal of finishes, interior ramps, stairs, windows, overhead doors and all exterior CMU/brick infills; extensive saw-cutting and the removal of slabs and beams, while keeping columns in place. The abatement scope on this project consisted of the coring of holes into the existing concrete roof deck scheduled to remain.
