Select Demo was hired directly by an energy company to perform the demolition of an 8,000 SF building, the interior, selective demolition of another 8,000 SF building and the cutting of approximately 2,000 LF of gas piping at this former gas plant. Select’s scope also included minimal abatement, which entailed the removal ACM pipe insulation. This project will be performed in two phases - Phase 1 entails the demolition of the compressor building, turbine skid, coolers, concrete foundations and footings, removal of 2,000 LF of gas piping, removal of exterior equipment and miscellaneous mechanical equipment. Phase 2 entails the demolition of the turbine hall, exhaust, coolers, turbine skid and miscellaneous mechanical equipment.
